1st Choice Seeds will be at the National Farm Machinery Show once again, in just a few weeks! The show takes place at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. You can visit the show from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on February 12-15 this year. 1st Choice Seeds will be at booth #7353 again this year.
Being new to both the Ag world and 1st Choice Seeds, I decided to interview Seed Specialists Chris Linville and Steve Miller to learn more about the farm show, before visiting. From what I’ve heard, the Louisville farm show is one that you don’t want to miss! Chris and Steve can be found at the 1st Choice Seeds booth most days during the National Farm Machinery Show, along with some of our other Seed Specialists. Be sure to stop by and say hello.
Farm Show Interview with Chris & Steve:
Question #1: How many years have you been attending the farm show in Louisville?
Chris: My first time visiting the Louisville Farm Show was probably in 1976. I have been working a booth at the show since 2003.
Steve: I’ve been going to the show in Louisville for 10 years now.
Question #2: What value does the Louisville booth bring to 1st Choice Seeds customers?
Chris: Our customers are able to have a one on one conversation with us at the show.
Steve: Customers can talk with us about seed, but we also help refer them to other products (at the show) to help on their farm.
Question #3: What is your favorite part about this farm show?
Chris: What I enjoy most is getting to see everybody and getting the opportunity to interact with new people.
Steve: I enjoy getting to visit with customers and coworkers during the show.
Question #4: What should first time attendees expect at this farm show?
Chris: First time attendees should expect to be overwhelmed… but in a good way. There is a lot to see!
Steve: Expect to be amazed… they have no idea how big this show is!
Question #5: What is one thing everyone should experience at this farm show?
Chris: There isn’t one particular thing that everyone should see. There are so many things to see at the show. Booths are set up during the day, then they close down, and the show reopens at 7:00 p.m. for the tractor pull. There are usually seminars during the day that focus on different topics, like crop management. However, they are typically invite-only events.
Steve: Everyone should check out the different booths that show the diversity in Ag. Then, get ready for the tractor pull!
Question #6: Tell me about the tractor pulls at the Louisville Farm show.
Chris: The tractor pulls start at 7:00 p.m. each night. They are very entertaining and always have top notch tractors. It’s a good show every night that you don’t want to miss!
Steve: The show is great… ear plugs are your friend!
